This site is dedicated to the memory of Richenda Barbour.
Richenda is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family, especially her children, Roger and Mary, and her sister Nan.
A private cremation will take place on Friday 29th April, and all are welcome to join us at a celebration of her life on Saturday 30th April.

Richenda was a truly wonderful person. However I was feeling, her truly kind and genuine smile comforted and lifted me. She truly inspired me with the way she always said how lucky she was. This helped me to appreciate how extremely lucky I am with the people I know. Her gratitude for everyone and everything taught me to be grateful for everyone and everything, particularly the little things in life like the blossom on the trees. I will always remember her with so much gratitude and love. Thank you, Richenda.

It is a privilege to be making a donation in Richenda's honour. The many fun hours we had at play rehearsals and the profound conversations will last with me, particularly the one where she had me in tears as she talked quietly but with such conviction about her views on war one day. She said: "It doesn't solve anything. Sooner or later everyone will end up round a table so why not start with that instead of all that killing?"
